Giving Back to the Community is one of the main Objectives of Selling each of the Short Stories by Texas Authors Collections.

While we continue to promote writing, and finding new and exciting talent in Texan’s, we give back to the community. A minimum of $2.00 from each book sold, goes to the DEAR Texas Literacy program, no matter where the book is purchased. With the partnership between Texas Authors, Inc., and DEAR Texas, Inc., $5.00 from each volume sold on the TxAuthors website, goes to the DEAR Texas Literacy program.

The DEAR Texas Literacy program is a wonderful program that helps raise funds to purchase books for Title 1 Schools, those in need and for local libraries. In the three years that we have been working with DEAR Texas, we have been able to help raise over $2,500 from the sale of these books.

Texas Libraries will be receiving 1,000 copies (a $12,950.00 value) of Volume 3 of our collection with the help from our sponsor Gatekeeper Press who has covered a majority of the cost of production for these books. Copies will be distributed at the Texas Library Conference on April 3-6 at the DEAR Texas booth.
